Sometimes, you see a dress and swoon!
I did just that with the beautiful Lindy Bop Midnight Blue Vanessa dress from Nyla Rose.
Luckily for me, I’m spoilt!  And my wonderful husband bought it me for Valentines day!

Now, this dress is not the most flattering of dresses for full busted ladies as the neckline does emphasise the fact that I am more than a little top-heavy!  Nevertheless, I am completely head over heels in love with it!
The skirt is fully lined and which really helps to create that smooth silhouette of the 50’s pin-up girl and the waist really does cinch in which is so refreshing after finding pencil dress after pencil dress that gapes at my waist.

The material has a nice stretch to it, which really helps with the wiggle dress fit, and the length is perfect on me, skimming my knees.  It will fall longer on those who fall shy of my 5ft10 but I think that will simply give you more a fifties fit.
At only £35, this really is a little bit of a bargain.  The dress feels well made and is unique enough that you’re not going to turn up at a party to find another girl emulating your style!
The size range is great (8-26) and the dress comes in a multitude of patterns – I love the poppy print version!

I really love the collar detail at the back (even if I had to iron them before wear) and the red belt breaks up the navy.  The belt, however, is a little stiff and I will probably replace it with a skinny gold belt when wearing this dress out.
As I mentioned earlier, this dress really does overemphasise my bust … it makes me look a bit like a caricature, which is always a risk of the well endowed ladies out there! I do think, however, this dress will look stunning on someone with a more manageable bra size!
The dress also really made me feel like a 50’s pin-up, so here are my best (and very comical) attempts at being one … as you can see, I have a way to go before anyone calls me Bettie Page!

What do you think?  Have you tried a wiggle dress from Lindy Bop?
