Last weekend was a busy one for me – Friday was spent prancing about in some of the most beautiful wedding dresses (you can read all about that here); Saturday was for cleaning the house & trying to fight off a killer migraine; Sunday was for vintage repro at London Edge, a alternative trade fair brimming full of upcoming pretties!
I was lucky enough to have these wonderful babes as the hottest damn escorts ever: Lottie L’Amour, Tanya Goddess, Becky Boo Brown, and Ruby Thunder. We also hooked up with the style icon that is George of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust who was kind enough to let me spank her – even if I failed to do it hard enough! Unfortunately, an awful headache and rail replacement services meant I had to scurry off before the group photo.
I did, however, have plenty of time to check some of the amazing fashion that will be up for grabs in the coming year.
This red leather pencil skirt from Collectif was a real stand out item for me – their entire range was, as usual, exciting and there were many pieces I’d love to nab but this skirt really did take the prize. This will be part of their A/W range and I’ll be first inline to nab it … not to wish the summer away, but I really cannot wait!
I also fell in love with Latex. Now I had admired it from afar for some time but became completely besotted with it after trying on this beautiful dress by Yummy Gummy Latex. The dress is a size 18 and slipped on perfectly and, even more excitingly, I didn’t need to wear a bra and the dress held my ‘shoulder boulders’ (a phrase coined by Lottie) beautifully in place. I can safely say I may be ordering one of these just as soon as upcoming adventures are paid for!
Isn’t the cut and shimmer just delightful? I really love the idea of buying a really prim and proper dress in this material and wearing it somewhere fancy to see if anyone notices. I also pranced about for quite a while in two of the belts, a cute bow waist cincher that I wrapped over a matching peplum belt.
The belts looked great over my spotty Collectif dress and I think they’ll look even better worn on top of a simple black body con dress … watch this space! I particularly loved that all the items come in a size 18 as standard and many of the designs will fit larger that that. Sizes 20 and above can be made on request and come with a little added length to allow for that junk in the trunk that us plus size gal’s know so well.
I also fell quite hard for the amazing Latex dresses on offer from Catriona Stewart Clothing – her model was perhaps the most beautiful girl in the building and looked great shimmying about in a bright yellow playsuit. I’ve spent many hours since trawling her website trying to decide which dress I want most. Maybe I just need to win the lottery so I can have them all (lingerie included)!
Other highlights include a delightful array of new prints by Silly Old Seadog (the foxy number below was by far my favourite), a cute as pie playsuit from Hell Bunny, and a Howdy Sailor Jumpsuit from Voodoo Vixen (unfortunately, I doubt I’d fit into this though as it won’t be coming out in size fat).
True to form, I also lusted after (almost made out with) some shoes from Banned Apparel!
The best part of the day was hanging out with some awesome babes but the catwalk was also pretty fun and you can feast your eyes on some of the snaps below.
Overall, it was a great day and I hope to be able to go to the next one (and will hopefully be well enough to make the evening party)!
