Spring is just around the corner – or at least the bluebells are promising that spring is just around the corner.
As usual, I have jumped the gun somewhat on weather change and already ditched the winter coat for my spring trench and have began to switch out chunky black tights for more neutral tones.
I also started planning my spring wardrobe (and have actually purchased a few of these already) so thought I’d share them with you all.
Now I seem to be predictable, retreating into neutral tones and florals for the warmer months. As I get more tanned, I will no doubt add a few splashes of colour but until then, neutral tones will rule. I’m also debating dying my hair back to last summers lighter tones … what do you think?
Now, onto my wish list – I’ve chiselled it down to a meagre 8 items (if you’d like to see the full wish list then you can on my Pinterest account) and cannot wait to wear them all …
So, I have bought these already because they are simply beautiful and I couldn’t wait! My icky leg means I need some supportive shoes and these leather lace up brogues from Clarks at Simply Be are perfect for any occasion. I’m envisioning these with brightly coloured cropped capris and a range of pretty summer dresses.
They’re priced at £63 but are made from real leather and come with padded soles and arch support so they’re worth every penny. They also come in a wider fit!
Come spring, I’d really like an ankle grazing pair in an acid wash blue – these will be just perfect! They’re priced at £28 and come in size 18 – 28.
Come spring, I love a bold vintage dress and this stripped Lindy Bop beauty is perfection. I can see myself swanning about country fares in this dress … and it will look great paired with red heels for more formal occasions.
The dress comes in sizes 6 – 26 and costs a reasonable £36.
I have a jumpsuit fascination right now and, although I struggle with length on most of them, I’m still willing to keep trying. I love the culotte style bottom and darker pastel tones of this ASOS number.
This jumpsuit is £50 but sadly only goes to a size 18.
I have had the same purse for years now – its battered, old and barely closes. This spring, its time for something new and this floral Fiorelli number will be just perfect for brightening my spring handbags.
It’s priced at £28 and available at Very.co.uk.
No wish list is complete without an undergarment or two – this Sculptresse by Panache Chi Chi set really does steal the show!
The set will cost you £53 and, speaking from my experience of other Sculptresse bras, it will be worth every penny. Simply Be stocks size 36F through to 46HH.
I have recently sized-down on my handbags- favouring small, across body bags to my usual over-sized, flashy, Mary Poppins bags. This small, blush pink, Ted Baker bag is perfect for pairing with spring’s pastel tones!
The bag is a pricey £119 but I believe handbags call for investments. It is available from Very.co.uk amongst other retailers.
Warmer weather means I switch out my longer trench or woollen coats for lighter weight blazers that look great with jeans, skirts and pretty dresses alike. This cream and gold cropped jacket from New Look is going to be a real wardrobe staple of mine this year and I’ve already worn it out several times!
It’s priced at £24.99 but sadly maxes out at a size 18.
So those are my spring essentials … do you have any must have items that you can’t wait to purchase now the weather is getting warmer and the days brighter?
