The Anna Scholz for Sheego range dropped at Curvissa a month or two ago and I have to say, I was instantly impressed. I’ve lusted after so many Anna Scholz pieces in the past but, unfortunately, they’re just a tad above my price range – one day I’ll be rich and buy the entire collection but, until that the day, the Sheego collaboration will keep my appetite sated!
The entire Anna Scholz for Sheego, exclusive to Curvissa in the UK, is true to Anna’s classic elegant sense of style. Made from simple, timeless cuts, the clothes are made to fit and flatter the female figure and come in a classic colour palette that means you can reach for all the garments year round, year after year.
When Curvissa were kind enough to send me an item from the collection, I really couldn’t wait and instantly chose my favourite – the cut-out jersey dress with a dipped back hem.
This very sophisticated dress is made from a lightweight viscose and polyester blend that flows nicely across the natural contours of your body – no nasty bunching or clinging here!
The slash neck and dipped hem give a very simple black dress a little pizzazz. I’ve styled it very simply with chandelier earrings and my go-to summer heels from Clarks. I don’t feel this dress needs much more and I look forward to pairing it with sandals when the weather gets warmer.
The length at the back is quite spectacular, skimming the middle of my calf – the skirt also has a beautiful sway when you move and the natural line of the dress is a subtle swing style – it will be great for dancing!
I’m wearing a size 18 and it is very true to size – fitting perfectly at my chest and shoulder and slightly baggy around my waist. The hips are relatively free with the skirt just skimming them.
The dress is priced at £99 which is not the cheapest on the market but is still substantially more affordable than the main Anna Scholz range. It’s also made incredibly well and can safely be called one of those invest pieces, a classic little black dress that can be worn for so many occasions for years to come.
I can’t stress how pleased I am with this dress – it is, perhaps, my favourite dress in my wardrobe at the moment (especially after getting a barrage of compliments when wearing it to work today) and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this over summer (and beyond).
