I wasn’t really aware of many plus size fashion bloggers when I started this little blog two years ago but since starting, and entrenching myself within the plus size community, I have come across so many inspirational women who are unapologetically themselves in their style.
These women have inspired me to push my own boundaries, try items of clothing I have always loved but not had the confidence to embrace. Its thanks to these women that I dress as I do today so when challenged by Curvissa to #ShareTheLove and give a shout out to some of the amazing fashion icons who influence me on a daily basis, I just had to get involved!
LuAnne D’Souza of Weesha’s World
The queen of accessories with the most stunning smile ever, LuAnne of Weesha’s World is probably the most endearing fashion blogger I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting. Her style is really breath taking with classic, timeless pieces that she styles with a uniquely modern twist.
Em Smyth of Terrible Tumbles
A real retro beauty, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Em of Terrible Tumbles out of the most lust-worthy outfits. With her enviable hair and nod to the vintage, Em is every bit the a golden screen siren. She’s also a fellow tall girl so I know if a dress works on her, it may just work on me too!
Steph from Nerd About Town
I can only dream of being as edgy as Steph from Nerd About Town – she is street style encapsulated. Following Steph has massively broadened my style output, she not scared to experiment with colour, print, lengths or styles and pulls it off every time. Her style is everything.
I don’t think I need to say much about Danielle Vanier other that style personified. Endlessly chic and with a slight edge that, to me, is everything I love about British fashion. Her wardrobe is enviable and her style gives no end of inspiration.
Chloe of Chloe Pierre
Her photography is simply amazing but beyond that, Chloe of Chloe Pierre has a sense of fun and laid back elegance to her dressing that cannot be emulated or learnt – it just is. I’ve learnt so much about posing from her but above that, she’s opened my eyes to items I would never have considered.
So there we have it, my biggest style inspirations. I mean, there are many more and that’s something that is so great about the plus size community – the sheer number of beautiful babes putting themselves out there in order to inspire others.
