Plus Size Transitional Style – Pleather with New Look

You know what I love most about autumn? I can wear leather (well, plastic leather) without sweating like a … well, like an athlete running a marathon in 30 degree heat.

I have actually had this New Look Tall skirt for quite a while now (it also comes in Curve and Straight Sizes) – I’ve just been waiting for the weather to dip cold enough to warrant wearing it.  Thankfully, the last two weeks have definitely been cooler (I’ve even been able to dig out the turtle necks, have I told you how much I love a turtle necks?) and so this skirt has been flaunted to its upmost.   I thought I ought to share how I’ve been wearing it.

The skirt fits beautifully across my hips and is a little loose on my waist in a size 18 making it very true to size.   It is short on me, even in the Tall length, but I am 5ft10 and I do like my skirts short so that’s an added bonus for me.

I’m styling it here in a very go-to look for me during autumn – mini skirt, tights, ankle boots and a blazer.  This blazer is my trusted tweed from Granny shop Orvis, it’s now sold out but you can read my review here.  But anyway, enough talking, here are my looks ..

I’m sure I’ll find many other ways of wearing this skirt over the coming months and genuinely think it will be a firm staple in my wardrobe.

Will you be wearing any leather this autumn?

  1. I love all three of these looks – they are perfect for Autumn and it’s amazing how the skirt looks so different each time. Maybe I have preference for the first, but it’s a close-run thing! Kx
