One of my favourite things about autumnal style is that I can wear body hugging items without getting all hot and sweaty underneath! Combine that with textures and dark, moody palettes and I’m in style heaven.
I first saw this beautiful Faux Pony Skin Pencil Skirt by Elvi back in May for their autumn/winter previews and immediately fell in love with it – I knew then that I just had to have it in my wardrobe.
I’m wearing the size 18 and it’s just a tad snug about my hips suggesting the skirt to come up a wee bit snug suggesting it comes up a little small if, like me, you’re widest at your hips. That said, the beautiful Nerd About Town feels it fits very true to size so I guess it depends where your weight is distributed.
The skirt, with a p-leather under layer and faux pony skin upper layer, is pure figure-hugging opulence and I’ve styled it just so with a bombshell bardot body and heeled pumps. It’s a very classic look for me and one that I feel very comfortable in.
For a less glam occasions, I’d probably throw on a slogan t’shirt and longline jacket, or a blouse and blazer if wearing this for work. It’s really quite a versatile piece – a real classic beauty made with a twist of modern by the clashing textures.
The skirt is priced at £65 which I feel is very reasonable for a piece that feels incredibly well made and is something that little bit more special than your average pencil skirt. I really can’t wait to wear this throughout winter so follow me on Instagram if you want to keep up with my different ways of styling pieces.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate my ass? I know it’s vain, but look how big and round it is in this skirt! I really do love a big ass …
