8 Plus Size Coats for Winter

Brrr, it’s cold out there!

I really feel the cold – always have done.  The moments the weather changes even slightly, I’m wrapped up in a gazillion layers.   For years now, I’ve had the perfect winter coat – a heavy Jaegar coat in dark purple that is so lovely and warm and snuggly.   Sadly, it’s outgrown me and hasn’t fitted me for a while now so I finally caved and sold it … queue tears and uncontrollable grief – I really hope it’s gone to a good home!

Coatless and bereft, I set about finding another classic beauty for the wardrobe.   I like seek lines and well tailored pieces  – timeless classics in ageless colours (red, camel, black, navy).   Perhaps I’m a bit old fashioned, but when the choices are this good, who cares?

  1. Your Jaeger coat is beautiful, what a shame you had to give it up. The coats you’ve selected look great.
Have you noticed how few coats are made with wool these days? My personal view is although the synthetic fibres look as good they just don’t last and are not as warm. I bought an amazing wool and Alpaca coat from Peruvia Connection – even in their sale it was pricy. By the way they go up to size 22.
