I have quite a few christmas jumpers already, I love a good novelty jumper, but every year I buy a new one (eventually, I’ll have enough to wear a different jumper every day in December).
If you’re a regular reader then you’ll have seen this years purchase in my Party Wear Look Book – a navy, stag print jumper from ASOS Curve.
I have a bit of a thing for deer (I’ve taken to walking the dog at dusk as that’s when I see them in the woods behind my house) which means I was instantly drawn to the deer in nordic rugs. I feel like they would more likely be fighting beneath the mistletoe than kissing though!
I’m wearing this ASOS Curve jumper in a size 16 and it fits just as I want it too. I often size down in jumpers for a more fitted and sleeker feel. The jumper is actually longer than the pictures but I’ve folded it up to make it appear like a crop sweater. When unfolded, it sit on my hip bones.
I love pairing a novelty sweater with fancy bottoms, whether it be a 50f full skirt or a pair of pleather trousers and killer heels. I think it’s the contrast that amuses me, the ridiculous with the extravagance!
In these pictures, I’ve paired the jumper with my new Elvi Sequin Pencil Skirt that has a real wow feel with the rustic sparkles. I think it may be my Christmas day skirt – although there isn’t much room for spread after a day on gorging.
The Elvi skirt is size 18 and a snug fit – I use to find Elvi to come up very large but not so much any more. It’s now more of a true fit.
I love my Christmas jumper (and it’s already had an outing) and look forward to wearing this (and my many others) over the coming months – you can see them all by following me on Instagram.
I thought I would also share with you some others that didn’t quite make it into my shopping bag … yet!
Have you bought a jumper this year? I’d love to see it!
