Hello my lovelies, I have another lingerie review for you today. I’m talking all about my new Fantasie set (when I say new, I’ve had it since November but Christmas mania & illness means I’m only just getting around to it now).
Fantasie, if you haven’t already heard of it, it sister-brand to plus size favourite Elomi. It offers D-GG cup bras in back sizes 30 – 40 and has the same sophisticated elegance of form that you’ll find in Elomi designs.
The bra I’m going to share with you today is the Allegra* …
The Allegra is a three-part, soft cup bra with a beautiful lace filigree overlaying the cups. It comes with side support that really helps to push all that misplaced tissue back into the cup without and digging in of wires or discomfort.
I’m wearing a 34GG and it fits very well. The central gore sits flush against my sternum and the band sits low and firm on my back. All my bra tissue is well encased in the cups and the straps are both supportive and comfortable given there lack of width. The sizing suggests that the cup and band are both a little generous so please do take that into account when ordering this bra.
The Allegra is a very aesthetically pleasing bra but also offers a nice perky shape to the breasts. The soft cup design means it’s not going to give phenomenal cleavage and lift but my boobs sit high and rounded. This is a shape I especially love under higher neck tops and work wear blouses.
The pants are lined with the same lace filigree as the bra. I’m wearing an XL in the hipster brief but should have really sized up to a 2XL to fit in the belly apron and bulging hips. The pants fit and are comfy but, in retrospect, I would have preferred a higher style. For reference, I’m a size 18.
The Allegra is an incredibly comfy, versatile, and supportive set. It has quickly become a wardrobe staple and gets worn a lot!
I highly recommend!
