Monochrome Cravings

Monochrome Fashion

Monochrome trends never really fall out of favour – no matter what people say, black with always be the new black.   It is too chic, too classic, too easy to thrown on to ever be usurped.   As a teenager I had an almost entirely black wardrobe – I loved it, despite family protestations.

Now, in my late-20’s, I have embraced some colour options but I still retreat to black whenever I want to feel powerful, put together, or when I simply can’t be bothered to put together different colours.   My basic workwear wardrobe is white blouses and black trousers, my go-to weekend look is black pleather jeans and white tee, my favourite dresses to wear on nights out are little black dresses.    Yes, monochrome is my not-so-hidden love and definitely safely in my comfort zone.

Whether it be Parisian stripes, colour block dresses, or white slogan tee’s, these are the monochrome items I’m currently craving …

I love monochrome, but I always find when washing things they end up a sort of grey colour in the end, even though I use a low heat. Love that Religion kimono!
