As a plus size girl in my not-so-early twenties, I’d never really considered Marks & Spencer to be a shop for me.  It was the reserve of my Grandmas (although both are pretty damn stylish) and the place I was taken for frumpy, ugly bras; please note, their bras are by no means ugly now – but when I was 14 and being crammed into a lacy, frilly soft cup cause they were all that came in my size, they were definitely conceived of as being ugly!

Last year, I stumbled into M&S whilst looking for pants and fell in love with their autumn/winter collection, this years spring/summer collection is no different. I’ve already shared my lust-haves from it (read all about them here) and you may, if a regular reader, recognise this beautiful skirt!

Marks & Spencer Geometric Skirt - SS17 Review

Sadly, this Diamond Print A-Line Skirt is now sadly sold out.  However, I wanted to share it to highlight just how great Marks & Spencer is right now – I mean, seriously, that print!  The tie belt! The high waist & midi length! The bold geometric fan print that is a little bit reminiscent of 1920’s art deco.

If you’re in love with the print, then it something that M&S have laced throughout many of their season’s designs.  This print is available as a shell top and an orange hued shirt dress.   This jacket, also featured on my wish list, swaps fan print for concentric squares – although sadly the fit was off when I tried it on!

I’ve style this skirt in a style that I have realised has become one of my go-to looks: a bold statement print paired with minimal basics – a skinny ribbed polo neck in black and a pair of ankle boots (I do love my ankle boots).  My burgundy bucket bag (I call it that cause I can fill it with all sorts of junk) goes almost everywhere with me – although a bad back means I’ve recently invested in a back pack.

I realise that it can be frustrating when bloggers share unavailable items – but we are human and do have minimal bank balances and limited time.

Now, just enjoy the pictures!

  1. Oh you look gorgeous, that skirt is lush! I’m loving M&S at the moment – they really upped their game last season and I’m so pleased to see it carrying through to this season too. I’m gutted this skirt is sold out but I’ve got my eye on that orangey brown diamond print shirt dress you have in your wishlist post too. x
