ASOS hasn’t traditionally been high up on my list for buying underwear but they’ve slowly been creeping items into the Curve range that are both fashion forward and down right sexy.   Sadly, they seem to be only sticking to bodies and traditionally structured, wired bras – I live for the day they start releasing bralettes and sexy briefs above a size 18.

ASOS Curve Lingerie Review-5

ASOS currently offer four different body options in various colour ways.   What I like about them is that they haven’t slipped into the trap of plus size girls wanting coverage.   The necklines are plunging, sometimes slit to the navel, and the legs are cut high (and we know I like high-legged).  The bodies are revealing and sheer, leaving very little to the imagine.   This is refreshing in a world that tells us our fat bodies should remain covered!

I’m wearing the Sidney in Red – it is also available in black.   It is made from sheer mesh with an eyelash lace neckline.  The back is plain and entirely sheer apart from the hem which is lined with the same eyelash lace.

Like I mentioned above, the body suit is cut high at the leg, creating a thong brief that I’m completely in love with.   I feel like I have a Kardashian arse when wearing this, which is amazing for a girl who doesn’t have the most blessed of asses.

The body suit doesn’t offer any support, it is encases your natural body shape but enhances certain areas.  The visible joins of material cut at the waist enhancing the body at its naturally smallest part but you won’t get any uplift or shaping – its not designed for that and it is that fact that I love.

ASOS Curve Lingerie Review-4

I like shapewear, I wear shapewear.   But I don’t find shapewear sexy.   I’m tired of being told that plus size lingerie must be contouring, must be shaping, must be flattering.    I’m tired of not letting it all hang out.  And I find it refreshing that brands are finally cottoning onto this – that plus size women want to be free in their own bodies and not just shaped!  We want choice and variety.   And that is what this body offers to me – the option to let my boobs swing and still feel sexy as hell!

Now back to the practicalities.   I’m wearing and 18 and it fits like a dream.   The material is slightly stretchy so you could potentially size down if your careful putting it on – the material does feel delicate so maybe keep over enthusiastic hands away from it unless you don’t mind a tear or two.

The body is priced at £22 (but is in the sale for £13) which is incredibly reasonable and, given my love of this one, I may be adding one or two others to my collection!

Have you tried any of ASOS Curve’s lingerie yet?

  1. Love that it’s high legged. And you’re so right, our bodies shouldn’t have to be shaped or moulded to be sexy. I love that this body encases and enhances without the premise of altering. As always, you look utterly gorgeous.
