Behind every fashion blogger, lies a slightly aggravated but forever patient Instagram husband (or wife). I am lucky, as I have both! My best friend, who buys whole heartedly into the stylised, slightly pretentious shots that you see so often on my blog and Instagram accounts, and my husband who tuts every time I stop him digging straight into his meals so that I can take that foodie shot for my Twitter account.
Yes, poor Mr. CurvyGirlThin (or Dr. if we want to be pedantic – which I always do) has to eat lukewarm meals so I can take amazing pictures first. He also has to listen to my photography directions and spend many hours of his free time taking pictures of yours truly.
So, when Jacamo got in touch to ask if there is a man in my life who would like to try some of their range, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to turn the tables and give Dr. C a turn in front of the camera. And my gosh, doesn’t he look lovely?
My husband is around 6ft4 and a 38/40 waist and the range at Jacamo seems to fit him perfectly, offering a range of leg lengths in these great Black Tapered Chinos* that have a slight stretch to the material. Iain is wearing a 40L and the fit is fairly perfect, although a belt is needed to stop them slipping from his waist.
The trousers are light weight making them perfect for warm summer evenings and smart enough for those ‘no-jeans’ hotel restaurants when abroad.
He’s paired it with a simple polo shirt* in longer length, although he is more likely to wear this with lightweight shirt and blazer for more formal occasions.
The longer length polo is great as it stops that gross builders bum when he bends over and covers that yummy beer belly of his (I do love his beer belly – it is hard earned).
He also chose some new cargo shorts* ready for winter sun holidays later in the year (and hopefully summer sun over here).
Dr. C is wearing these in a 40R and again they fit very well but require the belt being fastened fairly tight to prevent them slipping down. They sit just above his knees and are super lightweight.
This time, he’s wearing the polo shirt in a simple black.*
So there you have it, Dr. C stepping in front of the camera to show you some big and tall options from Jacamo.
Isn’t he adorable? Although, I may be bias!
