I have been a little quiet of late; big and important life changes are in the planning and juggling these plans with existing work commitments has been hard. I’m working 12 hour days several times a week and ruining my New Venture .. Lipstick On My Collar. Sadly, this is one of the reasons that Curvy Girl Thin has slipped a little bit.
Another reason is that fashion is failing to inspire me at the moment. Its not that I don’t still love fashion – I really do. But I feel that my portrayal of fashion has, in the past, been a little bit of a pretence. I’ve fallen into a pattern of continually buying new items to feature on the blog and then scarcely even looking at them again. I have a swelling wardrobe of pretty dresses that I simply don’t wear. Instead, I want my blog to be more of a true representation of what I wear every day – not just what I get dressed up in to take photos for the blog.
This means that you will probably noticed subtle changes over the past few months – less make up, less stylised hair. More natural every day me.
This post is the same, it is me with my hair and make up fresh from a day of meetings in London.
After a hard day, I love nothing more than slipping into a silk robe and some underwear to chill, usually with a book (I’m currently reading the later Conn Iggulden) and a steamy cup of Lemon & Ginger tea. Perhaps I’m getting old, but life is so stressful at the moment that I just want to retreat!
This set is from the new LoveHoney Barely There range*. It is a wired, soft cup plunge bra in a sheer, stretch mesh fabric. The briefs are full and made from the same mesh fabric with a cotton gusset.
It is incredibly comfortable albeit not very supportive. But it is not designed to be supportive – the set is designed to be seductive with the sheer material, scarce coverage and crotchless briefs.
The mesh fabric is hemmed with a black contrast and bows sit at the cleavage and centre hem of the briefs. A small gold pendant of the LoveHoney logo hangs from the bow.
The set comes in sizes 6 to 24. I’m wearing the 18 – 20 and I would say it is fairly true to size. The band of the bra is a little large on my 34/36 inch back but the cups fit very well, largely thanks to the stretch mesh material.
The briefs are a tiny bit roomy but I like my pants big so I don’t mind,
The Barely There range is a really cute, affordable and sexy little range.
I think one thing that will never change about this blog is the sheer amount of picture of me lounging about in lingerie.
Even if my fashion is turning more minimal (I’m more likely to wear jeans and t’shirt than anything else these days) my love of lingerie will always remain.
What do you think of these new, more authentic shots? Do they feel more real to you than my old “dressed up” photos?
