Luxury

Luxury

Those who know me, know that I’m a little fancy pants.   I like the finer things in life – I like a little luxury!

I was always Posh when reenacting Spice Girl videos and I’ve always prefered hotels and air b&bs to camping or hostels.  Sadly, my bank balance doesn’t stretch to my tastes.   I have champagne tastes on a cordial budget!

Yet there is something fun, something uplifting about dreaming of those few luxury items that you hope, one day, you will be able to afford.   That is why over 32 million of us regularly buy a lottery ticket – we know the chances are against us, but we still plan what we’ll buy if we win, we still get the nervous anticipation of a life change, we still get that flutter of excitement when we check the numbers.

So many times I’ve spent an evening on Right Move, exploring the opportunities of a new house (complete with stables, swimming pool, and a vineyard).  Like I said, Champagne tastes! And here are a few of my other (albeit purely frivolous) luxury desires …

A Vivienne Westwood Suit

Luxury aspirational wishlist. Rolex, robes, and a Vivienne Westwood shoot. Luxurious items to save for and treasure forever. Vivienne Westwood Alcoholic Jacket.

I have been obsessed with Vivienne Westwood ever since attending the V&A exhibition on her design.   I went with my Grandma who was entranced by the workmanship and creativity as much as I was.   Ever since, I’ve dreamt of owning one of her exquisitely tailored suits – or, at the very least, one of her jackets.

Okay, so maybe I won’t need to win the lottery to afford this Alcoholic Jacket but I would have to save for quite a while.   The jacket would be cherished forever though!

A Rolex

Luxury aspirational wishlist. Rolex, robes, and a Vivienne Westwood shoot. Luxurious items to save for and treasure forever. A Rolex

A Rolex has always screamed luxury to me.  There is something slightly ostentatious about their designs.  They are in your face, ‘look at me’ pieces.   And that is exactly what I love about them. A big, chunky, men’s Rolex glaring powerfully from my wrist.   There is something very sexy about that image!

The average Rolex will cost you around £8,000 – £10,000 with more limited edition items skyrocketing to the cost of a yacht! These really will require winning the lottery.   But, thankfully, second-hand watches are available from places like Chronoexpert who sell luxury Rolex watches that come without the months of waiting for your order to be fulfilled.   Chronoexpert has a really extensive range of pre-owned Rolex watches at fantastic savings.

A Sailboat

Luxury aspirational wishlist. Rolex, robes, and a Vivienne Westwood shoot. Luxurious items to save for and treasure forever.

… complete with a wonderful instructor to teach me how to sail the open seas! Sailing has been a lifetime ambition of mine.   I was fortunate enough to experience a week of sailing activities when at school and I had the most amazing time (even if we experienced awful weather and all sailing activities were eventually cancelled).

I am hoping to have some sailing lessons now that I’ve moved down to Devon but I feel a sailboat would be far out of my budget.   A wonderful specimen like the one pictured above would definitely require a lottery win!

So, what would you buy if the budget were unlimited?  Take a moment and think, I can guarantee it will give you a little endorphin boost!

If budget were unlimited I’d like to travel and then maybe open a cat sanctuary, totally different things, but yeah! 🙂

I would definitely have a rare breed pig farm! And maybe a dairy farm so I could eat all the homemade ice cream!

If I had an unlimited budget I would definitely use it to travel all over the world, in style. I would like to have my own boat and sail the Mediterranean with it. I did have some sailing lessons in my home town and loved the whole experience! 🙂

I wouldn’t say no to a luxury watch either, and Rolex watches are fabulous and so well made. Most of my luxury aspirations are geared towards holidays these days, so I better get saving if I want a Rolex!

If I had an unlimited budget, I would pay off my Mum’s mortgage and then travel the world. There are so many places I want to see!

I think I’d buy a mansion somewhere, and a fancy cabin in the woods somewhere. Oh, and private jet/plane so I could fly to any country whenever I wanted to!

I know what you mean about “champagne tastes on a cordial budget”, cos that’s me all over LOL. I have been saving my pennies recently though for my next travel adventure x

I think if I had no budget restrictions I’d go to SDCC and go crazy with it all. It’s the dream, maybe no luxury to most, but it is to me.
