Live Free, Love Your Curves – DORINA & AIR LITE

Live free. Liberate your body. Move effortlessly. Love your curves. The Dorina Air Lite offers a lot. But does it live up to the hype? It sure does.

I adore lingerie that allows you to move encumbered. Lingerie that feel like a soft breathe on your skin. That is subtle and discreet. Lingerie that feels like you’re wearing nothing at all, whilst supporting my H cup breasts. The Dorina Air Lite offers to do just this. But I was sceptical.

Too often, lingerie brands promise the world, but fail to deliver. They promise to have reinvented the wheel, but the wheel doesn’t turn. Thankfully, the Dorina Air Lite does exactly what it says on the blurb.

Construction

The Air Lite is a seam-free, wireless bra made from a single piece of stretch fabric. The bra has a cropped fit with wide straps, a v-neckline and a scooped back. The back band and wings are fairly wide giving a full coverage. The lack of clasps or fastenings creates a sporty, athleisure aesthetic to the Air Lite bra. This style matches perfectly with my minimalistic vibes for everyday wear and looks fantastic worn beneath slim fitted t-shirts.

The stretch fabric of the bra is soft, cool and light on the skin. It is made from a polyamide-elastine fabric that gives a subtle uplift to the breast. The bra contains removable foam cups that offer a little more uplift and create a rounded shape to the breasts. I have removed the foam cups in these images as I prefer a more natural shape to my breasts.

Support

The wireless, seamless construction of the bra means it offers support through mild compression. The stretch fabric means breasts are held in place without becoming restrictive. On my H cup breasts, this means I retain bounce and movement in my breasts without them becoming the swinging pendulums that they are when bare.

Whilst I wouldn’t suggest wearing this bra for vigorous of impactful exercise, it is great for daily wear and for low impact activities like yoga. This level of support is comparable to other wireless bras of this type. It is, actually, my preferred support level for yoga which requires completely unhampered movement.

Fit

I’m wearing a size 18 in the Air Lite bra and I find it very true to size. The back band fits well and stays low on my back despite the weight of my breasts and the shoulders retain their shape with prolonged wear.

The cups are slightly shallow for my 36H breasts – as you can tell from the slight overspill in my pictures. This is usual for clothing sized lingerie of this style. It doesn’t, however, affect the support at all and the overspill doesn’t show through clothing. However, if you are breast heavy, like me, then do consider sizing up from your normal size with this bra.

Comfort and Durability

The stretch fabric with SoftDRY technology is exceptionally comfortable. In fact, the Air Lite is just that – as light as air. I don’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all. It is freeing! And in terms of comfort I cannot fault this bra at all. I can wear it all day, everyday.

Honestly, I’ve been more than pleasantly surprised by the Dorina Air Lite and it has definitely become a staple in my lingerie wardrobe. It machine washes well and dries quickly making it a hassle-free item. It’s replaced several of my daily t-shirt bras. I’ve worn it for yoga, dog walking, lounging around the house, for coffee dates with friends. Now, I guess it’s time for me to get one more in another colour, what do you think?
